This two-day training taught by Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is a Planning/Management level course designed for jurisdictions, private sector entities, educational institutions, and other organizations that want more information and training on how to fully assess and reduce vulnerabilities.
The course is designed for: Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, EMS, Fire Services, Health Care, Private/Public Sector Security, CERT, shopping centers, Risk Managers, School Administrators, and more.
Q: What will I gain from taking the course? The Conducting Risk Assessments to Critical Community Assets course teaches the critical components of risk management and provides participants with the basic fundamentals of determining and mitigating risks associated with their critical infrastructure. Through a combination of lecture, facilitated discussion, and group activities, participants will learn how threats, vulnerabilities, and consequences determine risk and are given an opportunity to practice the fundamentals of conducting vulnerability assessments by conducting an on-site site-specific risk assessment of select local facilities.
